Colored Keys

Although this folk fusion vocal trio are rooted in Naga music, they also cite the likes of Michael Jackson, Queen and Andrea Bocelli as influences. After cutting their teeth in rock bands that took them around the globe, Kehodi Yoho, NeikuoKhezhie and KehepeLetro were keen to focus on sculpting a kind of folk fusion that would be pleasing to the ears from start to finish. Whether it’s breathtaking opera-inspired pop songs like “Warrior’s Call” or vocal-centric performances like “Oh Hi Yo” and glimmering, slow-burn ballads like “Always Love You”, the emphasis for the members of Colored Keys has always been positivity and flair. They might surprise with a soaring poignant cover of Adele’s “Million Years Ago”, but or launch into rock and folk fusion numbers – a Colored Keys performance is like a sonic rollercoaster ride. It’s one that the trio have taken to festivals such as Hornbill Bamboo Carnival, Ziro Festival of Music, Handshake Concert and venues like the erstwhile Blue Frog in Mumbai. They also count traveling to Seoul, South Korea in 2017 as one of their career highlights so far, performing at Sarang Fest.
