He embarked on the journey of playing the violin at the age of eight. He holds a Masters degree from the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, London. Nourhe Khate was one of the two Indians to receive the Rumi Foundation Great Indian Scholarship to study in Trinity Laban for the academic year 2016-2017. He also received the GREAT India Scholar & Leverhulme Arts Scholar for the academic year of 2017-2018 to complete his Masters in Violin Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, London.
Recently he was part of the One North East web concert done by ICCR & TaFMA and he played representing Nagaland. In the past Nourhe has performed for/with South Asian Symphony Orchestra, Trinity Laban Symphony Orchestra, Canada-India Youth Orchestra, Indo-German Youth Orchestra, Purple Fusion & Papersky besides others.
He is also a winner of the David Menezes National Violin Competition 2014, Fewkes Memorial Trophy for best ABRSM grade exam candidate, Thumboochetty Violin prize and Bangalore’s ABRSM high achiever award.
