Hornbill Music Festival officially launched

The 22nd Edition of the Hornbill Music Festival was officially launched by Ms. Melinda Pavek – U.S Consul General, at the RCEMPA today evening. Ms Pavek expressed her joy and excitement to be present for the launch of the Hornbill Music Festival and said her country encourages exchange programs to build more bridges in the world through art and culture. Speaking at the occasion, Mr Theja Meru, Advisor, TaFMA thanked her for being there and also thanked the United States of America for all that it had done to promote young leaders from the field of Art & culture. HE himself being a part of an exchange program shared first hand account of how it had helped shaped his leadership skills. 

After the inauguration, the Hornbill Music Festival got underway with two very exciting and varied styles of bands taking the stage for an electrifying evening. Imliakum & the Electric Cool Kid from Nagaland and folk band from Manipur, Imphal Talkies got people shaking a leg right their in the auditorium. 

The venue was also sporting a festive look with pops for food and an eye catching booth for selfies by presenting sponsor Parx.
