One year of TaFMA
TaFMA completed one year on July 25th this year. This is what the Advisor of TaFMA, Shri Theja Meru had to say on the occasion.
TaFMA also released a digital copy of the ‘One Year Report Booklet’ containing major initiatives taken by the office and numerous events organised by the music and arts fraternity which were supported by TaFMA.
Born out of long-standing and we’ll established Music Task Force (MTF), the newly formed Task Force for a Music and Arts (TaFMA) has been in action since 2019 with a keen eye on how to promote the Artists in Nagaland, whether it’s choirs, singer-songwriters, filmmakers, painters and more. TaFMA consider music and art to be one of the major soft powers of Nagaland. Reaching out beyond the main hubs of Dimapur and Kohima, TaFMA is all-inclusive when it comes to arts, with a special focus on music.
In it’s early run so far TaFMA has been working on multiple festivals, supporting local events and joining hands with partners ranging from music maestro Dr. AR Rahman and his KM Music Conservatory, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Indian Council for Cultural Relations to collaborating with friends from the music Industry from around the world: USA, UK, Russia, Isreal, Latvia and more for the growth of the music and arts Industry.
While hornbill Music Festival remains the jewel in the crown of Nagaland’s arts spectrum, TaFMA is expanding its scope to work on so much more. TaFMA is giving a lot of emphasis on music festivals, music education and artist development with an aim and vision to make Nagaland a true centre for artistic pursuits, music business and futures leadership.
TaFMA is profoundly grateful to God for all His blessings.
TaFMA thanks Shri Neiphiu Rio Hon’ble chief Minister for his love and all-out support and being it’s biggest patron.
TaFMA thanks all well wisher mentors and friends.
And to all the stakeholders of the music and arts industry TaFMA would like to once again commit itself to the service of serving and making Nagaland the centre of all things music and arts.
